Blue Logistics Group expands in China

Two new offices in China – in Ningbo and Shenzhen

Blue Logistics Group is taking the next strategic step in its global growth journey with the opening of two new offices in China – in Ningbo and Shenzhen. The offices will officially open on Monday, August 11 with a team of experienced employees, and will be operated under the auspices of our Danish partner company Ocean Shipping & Logistics (under the name Blue Logistics Air & Ocean Ningbo Ltd.).

This establishment strengthens our presence in one of the world’s most central logistics regions and moves us even closer to our ambition to become a global player, offering fully integrated end-to-end transport and logistics solutions to our customers – no matter where in the world their business moves.

Mikkel Fruergaard, Group CEO at Blue Logistics Group, says:
The opening in China marks a major step for us as a group. It is crucial to our strategy that we are physically present and close to the most important global hubs, so that we can offer customers enhanced control, transparency and quality all the way through the value chain. With offices in both Ningbo and Shenzhen, we stand strong in the heart of the world’s largest export country and create a natural extension of our activities in Europe.”

The 2 new Chinese offices will be led by Managing Director and partner Cherry Cai, who has a strong and long-standing transport background – especially within air & ocean. Cherry has held leadership roles with some of the industry’s players in her career, and is known for her ability to build strong team cultures and ensure stable and effective solutions with the customer at the center. ”With Cherry at the helm, we not only get an experienced leader, but also an important cultural carrier who can tie local roots and global quality together,” says Peter Brun.

Peter Brun, CEO of Ocean Shipping & Logistics, says:
We are proud to open in China and to be the unit in the group that drives this strategic venture. We are starting with a strong team of skilled colleagues and are looking forward to building on relationships, networks and experience – now with a direct presence in the region. We know how important it is for our customers to have transparency and control throughout the value chain, and that is exactly what we can now deliver. With Cherry Cai at the forefront, customers are in safe and competent hands.” He continues, ”This is just our first permanent footprint in China – from here the journey continues together with the needs we experience from our customers”.

Blue Logistics Air & Ocean Ltd. will become an integrated part of the group’s global network and will work closely with both Danish and international sister companies in the Group to ensure high quality, local presence and efficient handling of both imports and exports. In addition, the company will also open an Aalborg branch in August, to ensure an even greater degree of local presence “at both ends of the chain”, says Ronnie Nielsen, who will be the daily manager of the Aalborg office.

The expansions are just steps in Blue Logistics Group’s strategy to develop partner companies with strong local ownership while creating international reach through people, partnerships and quality. We believe that direct presence creates better solutions – and we look forward to bringing the global and the local even closer together for our customers.” Concludes Mikkel Fruergaard.
