Replacement at Blue Logistics Group

Next phase in the Group's development

Blue Logistics Group is now entering the next phase of development. This means that Mikkel Fruergaard will step down from his position, and current CFO Mikkel Berg will be appointed CEO until the right permanent and long-term CEO is found.

In a few years, Blue Logistics Group has developed from a start-up into an international logistics platform with a turnover of approximately DKK 1.5 billion. This journey has required a distinctly entrepreneurial approach, which has been crucial to building the business at such a high pace.

However, the next stage – from the current level of DKK 1.5 billion. in turnover and towards a planned stock exchange listing – and the subsequent journey as a listed company places different demands on the management profile. The board of directors has therefore initiated a structured search for the CEO profile that best matches the group’s next phase, based on a “horses for courses” principle.

There is no rush. The business is healthy, the strategy is solid, and the organization is strong. We have both time and patience to find the right candidate,” says Chairman of the Board Morten Mathiesen.

The Group’s CFO – Mikkel Berg – is appointed CEO to ensure continuity in the daily operations and execution of the existing strategy regarding integration across the companies and the incorporation and start-up of new companies in the Group.

Blue Logistics Group thanks Mikkel Fruergaard for his role in building the Group to its current level.

Mikkel Fruergaard states, “I have been happy to be part of the journey and I must also say that I would have liked to see the journey continue together. Unfortunately, private circumstances have meant that the board’s expectations of my role and person are no longer compatible. I am of course disappointed by the incompatibility, but I am happy that together we have found an amicable solution that both parties can understand.

Mikkel Fruergaard resigns from his position effective today.
