Blue Logistics acquires SEASUN ApS
Blue Logistics takes over SEASUN ApS and merges the companies with Blue Log Delivery, thereby bringing together strong players within specialized furniture and auction transport solutions. The merger is a strategic step to create a strong platform for specialized furniture and auction transport – nationally as well as internationally.
The continuing company will be named BLG SEASUN A/S (Behind the name is a merger of Blue Log Delivery A/S – where the focus is on national auction transports and SEASUN where the focus has been on international furniture and auction transports. The merger combines Blue Logistics’ scalable setup with SEASUN’s strong market position and specialist knowledge within international furniture logistics.)
As part of the acquisition, Founder of SEASUN Peter Kristensen will continue as both partner and director of the new merged company.
“I am both proud and happy about the trust Blue Logistics has shown us. SEASUN has had a clear ambition for growth, and by becoming part of Blue Logistics we will have the right foundation to take the next step. I am very much looking forward to joining the journey and further developing the business together,” says Peter Kristensen, director and partner at BLG SEASUN.
With the establishment of BLG SEASUN A/S, Blue Logistics significantly strengthens its position within the growing market for specialized furniture logistics solutions and creates a unified entity with high operational capacity, international reach and deep industry specialization – as well as recycling of used office furniture. The company continues in a niche industry where strong competencies and approvals within specific areas are a necessity.
The company will also incorporate existing Blue Log Pharma activity and transports under its operational wings, as these competencies and activities are also operated under special circumstances and specific approvals.
“The merger is the first example of how we think about supporting our existing activities – and are not locked into the idea of isolating new activities in our own company’s set-up. In this case, it makes sense to merge activities with in-house companies – there will only be more of that going forward.” says Founder of Blue Logistics Group Karsten Mathiesen and continues “Peter has shown in the dialogue that he thinks ahead and understands the Group’s DNA and is therefore the right person to put behind the helm of the continuing company.”
The new member of the family supports Blue Logistics’ journey, and is included as part of the budget and thus does not affect the announced expectations in relation to the year’s expectations.
