Blue Logistics Group A/S continues its growth and adds another company to the family

Uni-way A/S, which is a well-run Danish-owned transport and forwarding company with an annual turnover of a few hundred million kroner, will become part of Blue Logistics Group.

Uni-way A/S enters as the next family member here shortly after the announcement regarding Fogtmann A/S’ entry into the group. Partners behind Uni-way and Blue Logistics respectively have entered into an agreement to transfer the majority of shares in Uni-way A/S. This strategic step marks a further strengthening of Blue Logistics Group’s position on the transport and logistics market as well as an expansion of the company’s service portfolio and ensures Uni-ways’ focus on development, partnership and customers.

Uni-way, specializing in transport and forwarding solutions in the European market, brings valuable expertise and a strong customer focus to Blue Logistics Group. Going forward, this partnership will help to improve Blue Logistics Group’s ability to meet customers’ needs and ensure the high quality and customer-focused approach to the transport market.

We are very happy and proud to be able to welcome Uni-way as part of the family,” says Nikolaj Meyland-Smith, Group CEO Nordics in Blue Logistics Group. “Uni-way has a very good reputation and a great history within the transport and forwarding industry. It is a solid company, with some very dedicated and competent employees, who run a more traditional forwarding company than Fogtmann A/S.

Uni-Way will continue to operate under its own name, but now as part of the Blue Logistics Group. The integration will be a smooth process that ensures minimal disruption for Uni-way’s existing customers and business partners.

By becoming part of the Blue Logistics Group, Uni-way gets the opportunity to expand our services and strengthen our position on the market,” says Claus Madsen, CEO of Uni-way. “We are convinced that this integration will benefit our customers and business partners. In addition, this partnership gives us the opportunity to reach new heights in the development of our company, which is already based on the partner mindset. We live in a time when our customers are more and more focused on responsible operation of the company – and therefore it is important for us to stand stronger on this front – and we clearly do that as part of the Blue Logistics Group

The integration of Uni-way into Blue Logistics Group is part of Blue Logistics Group’s strategy to expand their activities and strengthen their position on the market.

Our dialogue with the partners behind Uni-way has been going on for a number of years, but as with good vintage wine, it sometimes takes a long time before it has to come off the shelf and be drunk. Now the time was right for both them and us – so yes, we are definitely proud to have such a team and name on board. It confirms both our own journey, but indeed also their desire to be more for their customers tomorrow than yesterday” says founding partner of Blue Logistics Group Karsten Mathiesen and concludes “our journey is still only just beginning, but nevertheless less – then it’s great to have come from a country with such prominent companies and the people behind them, as is the case with Combino A/S, Fogtmann A/S and now also Uni-way A/S. After all, we can still sense the starting block in the rear window – but keep our focus out of the windscreen and continue the journey. We can now anticipate our first announced milestone on the horizon, which was DKK 1 billion in revenue for healthy companies in our first financial year (ed.: 18 months – 01 January 2024 to 30 June 2025).”
