Blue Logistics Group – now also in the Middle East
On November 1st, Blue Logistics Group opens its doors to yet another company far from Denmark. With the establishment of its own company in Dubai – Blue ME Logistics LLC, the way is paved for entry into the Middle East.
The company is being started in partnership with two experienced local partners and employees, with one of the two partners becoming the company’s director – Hussein Khalil. The company opens a strategic gateway to the markets in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
The new company in Dubai will become an integrated part of Blue Logistics Group’s global air & ocean network and will focus from the start on delivering efficient and scalable transport and logistics solutions – both to local customers and to companies with global supply chains.
Hussein Khalil, Man. Director at Blue ME Logistics LLC says:
”In this industry and in this part of the world, it is completely unheard of to be invited as a partner, allowed to run the business independently and be part of a future IPO on equal terms with all other partners in the group – so my decision was not difficult. When such an opportunity arises, the choice has pretty much made itself.”
Mikkel Fruergaard, Group CEO at Blue Logistics Group, says:
“Dubai is a piece of our ambition to offer end-to-end solutions with both global reach and local presence. It is a modern logistics hub with strong infrastructure, favorable trading conditions and access to some of the most dynamic markets in the world. This allows us to be close to both our customers and world trade – and it is fully in line with our strategy.”
Dubai is today among the world’s leading trade and transport centers and has developed into a natural hub for logistics across continents. With direct access to both modern port and airport infrastructure, extensive free zones and a digitally forward-thinking environment for logistics operations, the city is ideal as a hub for regional and global activities.
Anders Johansen, Senior Director Africa & Middle East at Blue Logistics Group, says:
“Dubai connects Asia, Europe and Africa – and so do we. We are opening up together with two strong local partners who bring both market knowledge and experience. This is not a satellite office, but an independent company with ambitions, local ownership and global strength. This is exactly how we build business at Blue Logistics Group.”
The establishment in Dubai is part of a broader strategy where Blue Logistics Group invests in long-term partnerships with local co-owners and creates strong, independent units that are close to customers and the market – but at the same time supported by a global network and common platforms.
