Blue Logistics Group strengthens the commercial management
The appointment is yet another step in the professionalization of the transport and logistics group, which in just a few years has established a significant international platform of independent yet coherent, partner-run companies.
Kasper Damgaard-Richardt, who comes from a position at DFDS as VP – Industries & Client Engagement, will have the overall responsibility for strengthening commercial development across the Group’s companies, with a particular focus on organic growth, greater customer collaborations and the exploitation of the commercial opportunities that arise in an increasingly strong international network. Kasper will take up the position on 01 May 2027.
Group CEO Martin Gade Gregersen sees the appointment as a natural part of the group’s next phase of development:
“In a short time, we have gathered a number of strong companies and talented people under Blue Logistics Group. Now it is very much about getting even more out of what we have already built. Kasper will help create the commercial connections across the companies that make us stronger together – without losing the local drive and entrepreneurship that our entire business model is based on.”
Martin Gade Gregersen continues:
“We should not centralize sales away from our partners. On the contrary, we must give them even better opportunities to develop their businesses. Kasper will be an important player in this game and I am really looking forward to the collaboration.”
For Kasper Damgaard-Richardt, it is especially the combination of entrepreneurship, local decision-making power and international ambitions that makes Blue Logistics Group interesting. But the long-standing relationship with Martin Gade Gregersen has also played a significant role.
“The choice of Blue Logistics Group actually came very naturally to me. When my long-time boss and colleague Martin joined Blue Logistics, I was the first to congratulate him. And I couldn’t help but ask: ‘Am I not going on that journey, Martin?’ It was said with a smile, but there was definitely a seriousness behind it. I know Martin, know what he stands for and what we can create together. So when the opportunity arose, the decision wasn’t really that difficult.”
Kasper Damgaard-Richardt sees significant commercial potential in the Group’s existing platform:
“What appeals to me about Blue Logistics Group is that they have created a group where it is still the people and their relationships with the customers that drive the business. It is a culture I strongly believe in. At the same time, there is enormous potential in connecting competencies and customer relationships across companies and countries.”
He continues:
“My ambition is not to come up with a big central sales manual. I want to go out and meet the partners, understand their businesses and together with them find the opportunities we are not yet exploiting. If we succeed in this, we can create significant organic growth and at the same time make Blue Logistics Group an even stronger partner for our customers.”
With the appointment, Blue Logistics Group underlines the ambition to combine continued international expansion with a more systematic development of the existing business.
The Group’s strategy continues to be based on partnerships, local ownership and the freedom to conduct business close to customers – supported by a common international platform, strong competencies and an increasingly professional group organisation.
Blue Logistics Group is an international transport and logistics group established in January 2024. The Group is based on a decentralised partnership model, where local entrepreneurs and specialists develop their businesses with the support of a common international platform.
The Group has ambitions for continued growth through organic development, new partnerships and the establishment of companies in selected international markets, so that the growth of approx. DKK 1.0 billion annually continues.
