New Group CEO of Blue Logistics Group

Transport profile behind the helm of Blue Logistics Group's continued journey towards IPO

Just over six months after he said goodbye to his position on the Executive Board of DFDS, Martin Gade Gregersen will take up the position as Group CEO of Blue Logistics Group on 01 October 2026.

Martin has proven that he can grow a partner-driven logistics company. From the time Martin Gade Gregersen in 2002 stepped into the management of the Esbjerg-based company N&K Spedition and later CEO from 2009, until it was sold to DFDS in 2021 in a billion-kroner deal, turnover multiplied. The last part of the growth journey took place as part of the Dutch HSF Group. A collaboration that made N&K Spedition the leading player in refrigerated transport in Denmark and the Nordic region.

Now Martin Gade Gregersen throws himself into a new and some what similar role. Together with the rest of the team in Blue Logistics (as Group CEO) and CFO Mikkel Berg, he will be at the helm of the continued journey at Blue Logistics Group, which has a clear sub-goal of listing on the stock exchange in 2030.

Martin Gade Gregersen says:

“I want to get back to my roots. Where I, together with partners and customers, build, develop and create solutions that make a real difference. At Blue Logistics Group, I get the freedom to do it my way, make a real commercial difference and drive the continued development of a company in great progress. That challenge and the group’s international buy-and-build strategy motivates me enormously.”

The strategy is clear

Since its inception in January 2024, the company, headquartered in Copenhagen, has had a clear focus on the transport and logistics industry. At the beginning of 2024, the first companies were brought together under the umbrella of Blue Logistics Group, and since then the company has grown both organically and through the integration of specialized logistics companies.

The ambition remains unchanged – namely to create an international logistics group with a strong local presence and an extensive network of transport and logistics services within road transport, sea and air freight, warehouse logistics and other related services.

Chairman of the Board of Blue Logistics Group, Morten Mathiesen, says:

“The chemistry was present from the first meeting. Martin possesses a rare ability to combine the strategic commercial mindset needed in a listed company – with the personal approach required in an entrepreneurial partner-based company. He understands the value of close partnerships from his own experience, and it is precisely this energy and experience that we want to build on – now with Martin as part of the team.”

Blue Logistics Group is investing purposefully in technologically scalable IT platforms and AI to strengthen efficiency and support the continued journey. The goal is to establish Blue Logistics Group as one of the Nordic region’s most dynamic logistics groups and through continued international expansion create the basis for a planned IPO in 2030.

Martin continues: “Blue Logistics is partner-driven – and has the advantage of being able to incorporate AI from the start. I think this gives us a bit of an edge in relation to groups that have to adapt to the integration of AI agents on the back burner. The partners ensure us the necessary customer focus and responsibility – and AI gives us some skills that we can offer our new and existing customers in addition to everything else. I think that premise is simply future-proof and just “down my alley”.

Martin Gade Gregersen’s primary focus will be to strengthen international development, streamline the integration of new acquisitions and further position Blue Logistics Group in the international markets outside Denmark.

A strong partnership continues

With Martin Gade comes his long-time Executive Assistant, Hua Zhang, with whom he has formed a close professional partnership for several years.

“We understand and complement each other, so that together we can solve the tasks both better and faster. It allows me to stay focused on what drives me – the development of customer relationships and partnerships – while Hua makes sure that the ball is always in play ,” says Martin Gade Gregersen.

Martin Gade Gregersen will form the company’s Executive Board together with Group CFO, Mikkel Berg Kærsgaard.
